How would Tony Start handle the difficult "Second Album"
With the world now aware that he is Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark faces pressure from all sides to share his technology with the military. He is reluctant to divulge the secrets of his armored suit, fearing the information will fall into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts and "Rhodey" Rhodes by his side, Tony must forge new alliances and confront a powerful new enemy.
PD's review;
Hmmm. Iron Man 2 is the Movie equivalent of a coin. 1 side heads and 1 side tails.
Lets start with heads!
RDJ carries on where he left off with iron Man 1, like he never missed a step. Taking the cocky attitude of now being a well known superhero to a new level.
This play off brilliantly and is exactly what the audience was hoping for.
The increased character roll of Pepper Potts was a nice addition to the film and allows us to see a softer side to Tony.
The CGI gets another boost and a great step up from the step back in the Incredible Hulk.
Also a nice return to form was the soundtrack, back was the AC/DC hits that suit RDJ's Iron Man so perfectly.
We also get introduced to the wonderful Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Turned out to be one of the shinning stars and would carry this on for the rest of the Marvel franchise.
No for the tails.
After the brilliant performance in "The Wrestler" Mickey Rourke entered this film on possibly the biggest wave of his career, even the pre-production design images had peoples hopes pretty high. Unfortunately things came crashing down pretty quickly.
for me this performance seems a little bit lazy, like he had won the awards with the Wrestler and this was the big paycheck after it.
Rourkes accent is also weak, and the action scenes on the race track look to me that he isn't comfortable acting with CGI and Green screen.
another missed opportunity is Sam Rockwell playing Justin Hammer, a character who should have the brains to give Iron Man issues but becomes more of a comedy stop point.
Also lets not talk about the change of actor for the role of James "Rhodey" Rhodes, less we say about that the better!
Overall its not a bad film and has some really good scenes and is genuinely funny in parts.

GR's Review:
Iron man 2 is the big follow up to the surprise hit from 2008 and one that again much like the hulk I really enjoyed the first time round! Partly due to the awesome AC/DC soundtrack!
Tony Stark is back once again this time the world knows who he really is and that’s a nice touch for a super hero movie to do but while being all bold and brash.
Micky Rourkes villain whiplash is silently building umm electric whips to somehow take down iron man.... that’s pretty much it from him!
What this film does is introduce war machine and Scarlett Johanson as the yet not know black widow.
We get to know more about the up coming universe and Tony has to learn his actions have consequences!
All in all it’s a alright sequel would it be the Marvel sequel movie I watch or go to probably not but it is enjoyable and if it was on tv I’d probably watch it!
G score is 6.5/10

A solid effort from Marvel which got the franchise back on track following the Hulk let down.
