Avengers - Age Of Ultron - The Review

GR's Review:
The Avengers assemble for a second time to tackle Ultron who was accidentally made by Tony and Bruce while experimenting with a new defence system!
The hype this movie got and the trailers it had all made for a rather huge spectacle going into it but reality for me was at the end it just fell a bit flat!
Here is more of the first film really where we get a few new characters in the form of Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch or as they are called “enhanced” because for some reason fox owned the word mutant!!
The vision is also introduced later on but the thing that bugged me was while James Spader played a good Ultron the whole character just felt a bit been there done that kind of thing and while the cast keep most of it together I feel it suffered from sheer hype and expectation of people possibly dying the reality was only quicksilver suffered that fate which let’s face it we don’t care!
It’s an enjoyable movie and one I would watch again the last scene is pretty dam impressive albeit a bit silly but it’s fun and who doesn’t love the hulk vs hulk buster scene!
Not the best in the series and suffered from second movie syndrome but a fun flick

Ultron was unlucky to follow Guardians, No one could have predicted the success that Guardians had, no way could they predict that the comedic tone, brilliant soundtrack and brighter colours were what audiences suddenly liked from the Superhero movie.
Ultron follows our more serious group of Heroes as hey open the film with a really fun action scene as they try to take down a Hydra Facility. Its here we get introduced to 2 new Marvel characters - Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
Tony Stark and Bruce decide to play with A.I and actually create something too powerful = Ultron!
The movie plays with the premise that just because you can do something doesn't mean its the right thing to do every time.
We are meant to believe that he can lift Thor's hammer and has the power of an infinity stone in his head but struggles later in the film when it comes to the climatic fight scene, In theory his powers would have destroyed everything in seconds.

its not that Ultron is a bad film, all of the Key actors carry's on there roles with the same level of confidence that we have come to love, and actually some of the group scenes genuinely feel like this is a tight group.
the problem is, it isn't as good as guardians and what we loved from GOTG is missing with Ultron.
I still enjoy this, it just isn't my go to film. However it does have some really good action scenes (Hulkbuster anyone???)
