In P2Pah's review, critic Zorine Te said " World of Warcraft is crafted for the enjoyment of the video game enthusiasts. The World of Warcraft universe serves as more than just tacked on references in this fantasy film. It's at the central element of the story as well as its characters and cinematic style. It's unfortunate that, the film is faithful to the game, some solid shortcomings prevent it from being an enthralling film. However, there are plenty of memorable moments for World of Warcraft fans to get excited about."
